GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATL PARK SMOKEMONT CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Cherokee. It is a largish park with a claimed 142 pads to park your coach. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. Your very long camper should have no trouble in the longer slots this park has. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 WiFi. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Go ahead and bring along little Mr K9 since this park is Animal Friendly. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. This park has some waterfront so you might get to enjoy the added benefit of the peace of water. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Do not just drive by Cherokee – instead stop and rest at GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATL PARK SMOKEMONT CAMPGROUND.
