SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Huddleston. It is a almost small park with a listed 50 sites to park your camper. This park has pull thru sites for your convenience. Do not worry too much about the length of your very long camper since the sites are built for large RVs. Electric hookups are provided. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Addict – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Fluffy since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Huddleston.
