ROAN MOUNTAIN STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Roan Mountain. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a claimed 107 rv sites to park your coach. This park has pull thru sites for your convenience. Do not worry too much about the length of your Big Rig since the sites are built for large RVs. No need for a generator since the park has electric. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Your pet is welcome at this park. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it. If getting in a pool is your thing then you are in luck at this park – it has pool access. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Do not just drive by Roan Mountain – instead stop and rest at ROAN MOUNTAIN STATE PARK.
