RIVERSIDE CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Abingdon. It is a largish park with a possible 135 sites to park your RV. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a large Class A. No need for a generator since the park has electric. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! Some really good news is that a sewer connection is provided. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 Wireless Internet. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. This park has some waterfront so you might get to enjoy the added benefit of the peace of water. Swimming pool access is a nice touch for this park. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. Do not just drive by Abingdon – instead stop and rest at RIVERSIDE CAMPGROUND.
