PENNYRILE FOREST STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Dawson Springs. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a reported 100 pads to park your recreational vehicle. This park has no pull thru sites. If your coach is 36 feet or longer you might want to call and see if you are too long. Electric hookups are provided. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. One of the more civilized services – WiFi – is provided by the owners of the park. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little Barky since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. Swimming pool access is a nice touch for this park. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at PENNYRILE FOREST STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Dawson Springs.
