MOCCASIN CREEK STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Clarkesville. It is a small park with a listed 54 pads to park your home away from home. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. Do not worry too much about the length of your Big Rig since the sites are built for large RVs. Electric hookups are provided. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Do not just drive by Clarkesville – instead stop and rest at MOCCASIN CREEK STATE PARK.
