MAUCH CHUNK LAKE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Jim Thorpe. It is a largish park with a listed 137 sites to park your home away from home. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. We are not sure that your large Class A motorhome can fit comfortably so please call ahead. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 WiFi. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. This is the one park you might want to leave behind Mr K9 since it is not really a pro-animal park. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at MAUCH CHUNK LAKE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Jim Thorpe.
