Our dream was to move to the Tennessee mountains and live in a peaceful, beautiful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city…… Then we found Tellico Plains, Tennessee… The Gateway to the Cherokee National Forest. Not many places are more beautiful! We have epic mountain views, amazing waterfalls, lots of rivers, streams, and lakes. And for all you motorcycle enthusiast, the roads are second to none!! Not to mention we are right in the Cherokee National Forest. Where you can hike, ride horseback, or just enjoy nature at it’s purest.
Let’s not forget about the Gold!! Coker Creek is famous for Gold Mining, and it runs right through Hammer’s Hideaway Campground. During your stay, feel free to pan all you like. And keep what you find!! No dredging please.
And for the Horse Lover’s out there, we are directly connected to the Cherokee Nat’l Forest and have trails for horseback riding. Come for the day or camp with us.
We have lots of room for primitive tent camping along the creek or on our little island that the creek surrounds.
