GOONEY CREEK CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Front Royal. It is a fairly small park with a reported 26 slots to park your coach. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a 45 footer. Electric hookups are provided. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Addict – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive.
