FORT KEARNY STATE RECREATION AREA is a RV Park in or near the town of Kearney. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a reported 110 sites to park your camper. This park has no pull thru sites. If you are driving a large Class A, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. Electric hookups are provided. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. Regardless of other connections, water, surprisingly enough, is not a provided service. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here.
