Lofers Bend East Campground is located on Whitney Lake on the Brazos River in Central Texas. This campground has 66 campsites and six of which that are “water only” sites and the remaining sites have water and 30 amp hook ups. All sites have either a stand up BBQ grill or a ground cooker/fire ring. The park is equipped with flushable toilets, showers, trailer dump station and two boat ramps. This year-round campground offers 66 family sites and one group site, all with water and electric hookups. Six non-electric sites are available as well. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, boat ramp and playground. The park is situated on the lakeshore among rolling hills covered with cedar, Live and Post oak. Multiple deer claim this campground as their home. Boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking are popular activities at Whitney Lake. Anglers can fish for a variety of bass, crappie and catfish.
EAST LOFERS BEND GROUP CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Whitney. It is a small to medium park with a claimed 66 pads to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. Your 45 footer should have no trouble in the longer slots this park has. No need for a generator since the park has electric. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no WiFi. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Your pet is welcome at this park. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. Do not just drive by Whitney – instead stop and rest at EAST LOFERS BEND GROUP CAMPGROUND.
