CANEY LAKES RECREATION AREA is a RV Park in or near the town of Minden. It is a almost small park with a claimed 48 spots to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. Do not worry too much about the length of your very long RV rig since the sites are built for large RVs. Electric hookups are provided. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip gin and tonics in style. Do not just drive by Minden – instead stop and rest at CANEY LAKES RECREATION AREA.
