ALLEGANY STATE PARK/RED HOUSE AREA is a RV Park in or near the town of Salamanca. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a reported 129 rv sites to park your camper. This park has no pull thru sites. Do not worry too much about the length of your very large camper since the sites are built for large RVs. Electric hookups are provided. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Your pet is welcome at this park. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip soda in style. Do not just drive by Salamanca – instead stop and rest at ALLEGANY STATE PARK/RED HOUSE AREA.
