You could characterize the Sponge Docks as a neat little tourist area that you could visit to see neat shops, eat great food, drink coffee, and generally have a fun day. For the “address” of the Sponge Docks, I (marlan @ rv52) did use the Aquarium’s address. For the phone number, I used the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce number – so you’ll want to call it during the day.

The Sponge Industry was instrumental in building a Greek Community that is now famous for the worlds finest sponges. Over time, this activity created a tourist oriented part of Tarpon Springs featuring Greek Restaurants, Markets, and Bakeries.
