People of all ages love the refreshing spring-fed waters of the Frio during the Spring and Summer months. When it gets too cold to swim, a quiet stroll down the river’s edge is always nice and of course, you can fish year round.
Something is always going on in South Texas, the Hill Country and the Frio Canyon. You can find old-time country jam sessions breaking out on the Court House lawn or run on over to the local dance halls to hear Texas’ most popular bands. Sight-seeing is one of the best forms of entertainment around. While you’re out there, don’t forget to stop at the local restaurants and antique shops. A top ranked championship golf course is only 5 minutes away from Parkview Riverside. Local fairs and festivals also dot the calendar year round. It’s a great feeling to mosey back to the campground after a day of golfing or exploring the Texas Hill Country.
