Ripleys has been around for 100 years, and still gives RVers a chance to meet famous people from the past and the present. Ripleys feature their world-famous Louis Tussaud’s WaxWorks right here in central Texas.

The Ripleys location actually contains three separate exhibits, so do plan on spending at least one day here while in Texas. Besides the WaxWorks, there is also the Odditorium, and Ripley’s 4D Moving Theater where you are put at the center of the action.

Ripleys contains more than manmade waxworks in central Texas, it actually contains an authentic collection of unbelievable artifacts. Robert Ripley spent a lifetime searching around the globe for the most unbelievable, but authentic, artifacts, objects, mummified remains, and more. During his years of searching for the perfect objects he claimed that “man” was the most unusual of all of the things he’d ever seen.

The lobby of the Louis Tussauds WaxWorks has been newly renovated, and here you’ll see some new wax figure exhibitions. Louis Tussauds WaxWorks is a large exhibit full of over 200 life-life figures from the past and present. Here you’ll get to meet President Donald Trump and past presidents too. While you can’t touch the exhibits, you can pose in front of them and take photos with your favourite musicians, celebrities, and movie stars. Some of the exhibits aren’t even from real life, they’re from fantastic and fearsome stories.

The Odditorium is where you’ll see some amazing objects. Some of the most popular items are authentic shrunken heads. There are also some two headed animal exhibits. Apparently even in the 19th century, vampire hunting was popular, so there is a handmade vampire killing kit on exhibit.

There are over eighteen themed rooms in the Odditorium at Ripleys, Texas, with 500 objects to see.

If you need to sit down a bit, don’t get too relaxed, because the Ripleys Moving Theater 4D is quite an experience. This ride puts you at the center of the action. You’ll want to hold on tight as your ride takes you through various twists and turns from past history. The Moving Theater in Texas features two action-packed films to enjoy.

The theater utilizes state-of-the-art technology, with digital and surround sound. The seats actually move so you’ll have to strap yourself into the seats. Wile E. Coyote and the Angry Birds take you on a wild ride full of tricks!

Ripleys is located next door to the Alamo, so you can have a full day of exploring what San Antonio, TX has to offer. You can purchase your tickets separately, or as a combo.
