HONTOON ISLAND STATE PARK

HONTOON ISLAND STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Deland. It is a very small park with a possible 18 sites to park your home away from home. This park has no pull thru sites. We are not sure that your Big Rig can fit comfortably so please call ahead. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no WiFi. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Depending on your perspective you might like this park as animals are not particularly welcome. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at HONTOON ISLAND STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Deland.
