Excellent Family Vacation RV and Livable for THREE!
The bunkhouse can accommodate three, but that would only be for vacations. What is neat is that if you had one child, this bunkhouse could actually be the 2nd bedroom.
Of course if you lived in this with a kid (and a “better half”) you’d have to explain to “society” why you are ok with living in 321 square feet. Of course you can answer that you aren’t a “space pig” like the rest of the USA!
Gulf Stream did a nice job with this unit in that the bunkhouse was designed to accommodate the outdoor kitchen on its outside surface. Thats a pretty common design method, but when I see it, it strikes me as very practical.
The DISTINGUISHING features ( here is a list of pretty standard items for a travel trailer ) for this trailer are :
- Two slide outs
- Bunkhouse
- Outdoor Kitchen
- Horseshoe Kitchen Table (accommodates an extra person)
- Aerodynamic front cap

We purchased a 2012 Kingsport 321TBS in the spring of 2012. This was the worst purchase we could’ve ever made. Before we were even able to take the trailer from the dealership during our final walk-thru the bunkroom slide ripped the flooring. After that was finally taken care of, it had rained our first night in the trailer, as I was tucking our daughter into bed in the bunkroom I stepped onto a saturated carpet. After we checked to make sure it wasn’t coming from the closet where the water connection hoses come into the trailer, we discovered the slideout was leaking. I then checked the livingroom/dining room slideout floor & that too was wet. We contacted the dealership, a tech came out to inspect & showed us where the water was coming in at. Behind the seal was a gap where you could easily fit 1-2 fingers in & the carpeting was hanging out. We were told to bring our unit back to the dealer & someone from Kingsport/Gulfstream would over see the repairs (which a new unit should not need this kind of repair work). They have had it for over a week now, have done everything that Kingsport/Gulfstream has instructed them to do to remedy the problem & our trailer is still getting wet. Now we’re told that Kingsport/Gulfstream is sending another team out to look at the problem. We are DONE!!! How disappointing for us. Our trailer has spent more time being “repaired” than we have been able to enjoy it. What a lemon!!!!! I’m curious to know how many more out there are getting water.

Thanks Dawnette for leaving a detailed comment. This will help other readers know what kinds of things to be on guard as well as shape their perspective. I would think you might have recourse with your state’s attorney general office in simply getting them to take back your RV. I really feel for you. What should have been an enjoyable pleasant experience wasn’t.

My wife and I are experience major leaking issues with a 2013 371 TBS, the main slide leaks along nearly its entire length when raining. We had our first rain 6 days after picking up our brand new trailer. The dealership sent a technician out that performed temporary repairs due to what he claims is the factory using too long of screw on the seals. His repair didn’t stop the leak, just slowed it down. Our first weekend was spent emptying pots and pans of water and sopping up water out of the carpets with towels. As well the first night in our trailer, my wife turned on the range hood fan while cooking, 2 minutes later the fuse blew. Closer inspection shows someone had put a 30 amp fuse in a 20 amp location, patio door wouldn’t lock, the technician after slowing the leaks managed to fix the range hood and door. The hot water tank sits on a shelf that is too low and bows out the side of the trailer… more structural stress.. The dealership took 3 weeks to decide to address issues and come pick the trailer up.

We bought a Kingsport 29 ft trailer with 1 slide out a little over a year old. Leaks, leaks, leaks. It all started when we pulled the trailer in the rain. It sucked up water from the road like a vacuum! When we got to our destination there was 2 inches of water in the whole floor. A seal on the underside of the slideout flips backwards when moving the slideout in and out.
We started getting bubbling in the ceiling “wallpaper” and found a hidden leak in the slideout roof. It had been hidden so long the entire roof structure was gone, $2000 repair. Then we noticed water coming in around the slideout when it was closed in storage. Now another leak on the front corner that drips on the bed and A water puddle on the floor under the TV antenna crank handle. We’re told that will be a $6500 repair since they have to take off the whole roof.
The air conditioning never really makes it to the front bedroom. We keep the door open with a box fan directing the cold air back there.
We are so disappointed by this purchase. I will never recommend this brand to anyone.

The worst thing about what you wrote is the fact that you write it without any real emotion. It sounds like this is actually a very well-balanced set of inputs. Scary!
