RV Bathroom Sink Options: Finding the Right Fit for Your RV
When choosing an RV bathroom sink, there are generally two main types you’ll encounter. In our Tiny Texas Tumbleweed, we had an affordable, simple bathroom sink—one that’s fairly standard in size and easy to replace. A quick trip to Lowe’sor Home Depot should provide a suitable replacement for this type, thanks to their consistent sizing options.
In contrast, our Open Range RV featured a stylish glass bowl sink paired with a tower-style faucet, which added a touch of luxury to the space. This is also the kind of sink setup you can find at stores like Home Depot, where modern and upscale bathroom fixtures are available.
Previously, our RV sinks were similar to the one in the Tiny Texas Tumbleweed, proving that RV bathroom sinks vary widely. The biggest differences between an RV bathroom sink and one in a traditional home are size and weight. In an RV, sinks need to be lighter and more compact to accommodate space and weight restrictions, making RV-specific sinks a bit different from standard home fixtures.

If you are attempting to replace your rv bathroom sink then my advice is very simple. Don’t be afraid of it. Of all of the things on your RV, this is one of the simplest and most straightforward. Make sure you take extra care to seal everything using plumbers tape (or equivalent) and you’ll be fine. Also, remember, the RV versions are going to be lighter weight, so don’t go crazy making things so tight on the fixture you’ll break it.
RV Kitchen Sinks: What to Know Before You Buy
RV kitchen sinks may look similar to standard home kitchen sinks, but they come with a few key differences. Many RV kitchen sinks are designed to appear like full-size, double-basin sinks you’d find in a traditional home, giving the illusion of a spacious and well-equipped kitchen. However, don’t be fooled—RV sinks are much more compact!
Most RV kitchen sinks are significantly smaller than those in “sticks and bricks” homes. While a two-basin sink may look like it can handle washing and rinsing, even just a couple of coffee cups can fill up the space quickly. The size and layout make them ideal for minimal dishwashing, which works well if you’re traveling light and keeping dishware to a minimum.
When RVing, we find this compact sink setup works just fine for our needs—although it’s always good to keep your expectations realistic. For those who prefer more space, exploring larger RV models or portable dishwashing options may offer some flexibility.

Probably there are two MASSIVELY important (if you don’t like sending things back to where you purchased and doing things twice) ideas on the kitchen sink. The first one is MEASURE THE SINK (do it 3x ) and then when you order the sink you should make sure the fixtures and the sink match up (holes and centers). If you’ll do these two things you’ll be in great shape.

When you replace your fixtures, just remember a few simple ideas:
- How many holes come up through your sink? You’ll order replacement fixtures according to this. Most fixtures come in standard hole configurations like 1, 2, or 3 hole configurations. This isn’t hard.
- How many inches between holes, particularly hot/cold water? Most fixtures come in standard sizes like 2, 3, or 4 inch centers.
