WILLIAM B. UMSTEAD STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Raleigh. It is a fairly small park with a possible 22 rv sites to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. We are not sure that your very long RV rig can fit comfortably so please call ahead. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 Wireless Internet. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at WILLIAM B. UMSTEAD STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Raleigh.
