WHISPERING OAKS CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Gilson. It is a very small park with a possible 20 sites to park your RV. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a large Class A motorhome. No need for a generator since the park has electric. One really nice thing is the 50 amp electric service. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. Some really good news is that a sewer connection is provided. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Go ahead and bring along little Barky since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at WHISPERING OAKS CAMPGROUND would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Gilson.
