THORNTONS RAFTING RESORT AND CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Athelstane. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a reported 100 spots to park your home away from home. This park has no pull thru sites. We are not sure that your large Class A can fit comfortably so please call ahead. Electric hookups are provided. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Do not just drive by Athelstane – instead stop and rest at THORNTONS RAFTING RESORT AND CAMPGROUND.
