THE REFUGE ON ROANOKE ISLAND is a RV Park in or near the town of Wanchese. It is a small park with a listed 59 slots to park your camper. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. Your mansion on wheels should have no trouble in the longer slots this park has. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. You will be thrilled to know that 50 amp service is provided. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Some really good news is that a sewer connection is provided. One of the more civilized services – 802.11 WiFi – is provided by the owners of the park. If your wife or significant other insists on Hallmark network be assured, the park offers Cable TV hookups. Your pet is welcome at this park. Note – tent camping is forbidden. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that.
