SUMNER LAKE STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Fort Sumner. It is a small park with a reported 60 spots to park your home away from home. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. If you are driving a 45 footer, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. Electric hookups are provided. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Sparky since this park is Animal Friendly. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it.
