SOUTH CARLSBAD STATE BEACH is a RV Park in or near the town of Carlsbad. It is a largish and maybe almost large park with a reported 222 sites to park your RV. This park has no pull thru sites. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a mansion on wheels. We do not believe the park has electric hookups. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. One of the more civilized services – 802.11 Wireless Internet – is provided by the owners of the park. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it. Do not just drive by Carlsbad – instead stop and rest at SOUTH CARLSBAD STATE BEACH.
