SOMES SOUND VIEW CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Mount Desert. It is a small park with a possible 60 sites to park your coach. This park has no pull thru sites. We are not sure that your Big Rig can fit comfortably so please call ahead. Electric hookups are provided. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. If you just cannot get away without a little taste of the internet – do not be alarmed – 802.11 WiFi is at the park. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Depending on your perspective you might like this park as animals are not particularly welcome. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. If getting in a pool is your thing then you are in luck at this park – it has pool access. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip gin and tonics in style. Do not just drive by Mount Desert – instead stop and rest at SOMES SOUND VIEW CAMPGROUND.
