SHABBONA LAKE STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Shabbona. It is a largish park with a listed 150 rv sites to park your home away from home. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a Motorhome. Electric hookups are provided. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little ole Yeller since this park is Animal Friendly. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. Do not just drive by Shabbona – instead stop and rest at SHABBONA LAKE STATE PARK.
