SCOTT AFB FAMCAMPGROUND (FOR MILITARY CAMPING ONLY) is a RV Park in or near the town of Scott Air Force Base. It is a fairly small park with a reported 24 spots to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. Do not worry too much about the length of your 45 footer since the sites are built for large RVs. Electric hookups are provided. One really nice thing is the 50 amp electric service. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 Wireless Internet. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Go ahead and bring along little ole Furr Ball since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. Swimming pool access is a nice touch for this park. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. Do not just drive by Scott Air Force Base – instead stop and rest at SCOTT AFB FAMCAMPGROUND (FOR MILITARY CAMPING ONLY).
