RED HAW STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Chariton. It is a small park with a reported 60 sites to park your home away from home. This park has pull thru sites for your convenience. Do not worry too much about the length of your very long RV rig since the sites are built for large RVs. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. You will be thrilled to know that 50 amp service is provided. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no WiFi. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Indications are that this park is not particularly animal friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at RED HAW STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Chariton.
