POINTES WEST ARMY RECREATION AREA (FOR MILITARY CAMPING ONLY) is a RV Park in or near the town of Appling. It is a mostly medium park with a reported 74 sites to park your RV. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. If you are driving a 45 footer, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Some really good news is that a sewer connection is provided. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Addict – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Paws since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at POINTES WEST ARMY RECREATION AREA (FOR MILITARY CAMPING ONLY) would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Appling.
