POCAHONTAS STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Chesterfield. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a reported 130 spots to park your coach. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. If you are driving a large RV, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. One really nice thing is the 50 amp electric service. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little Mr K9 since this park is Animal Friendly. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. Swimming pool access is a nice touch for this park. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at POCAHONTAS STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Chesterfield.
