This park does not exist any longer- it is a travesty how they cut it up, and sold it off. Only a lonely road with weeds, and what looks like what used to be an orchard is left on that road. So sad that so many memories were made there, and now is left to be wondered about. You should be ashamed for listing this as an actual park. There are not places to park, let alone an rv!

I’m completely ashamed Nan. I’ve marked this as out of business. I will say that the area looks like a really nice pretty property from the satellite. I read somewhere that the people sued them over an accident and that did them in. Have no idea if that is true or not.

I camped, fished, & drank a few here at Pinewood park campground a number of times between 1978 and 1983. We had a lot of fun out there. I now live about 5 minute from the property in Wentzville. Kind of a shame that encroaching civilization eats these places up!
Marlan at Rv52 says
I interviewed a few RV park owners and many of them consider the RV park a “land deal” and a way to hold the land and make money while they are waiting for civilization to come and buy the property out. In some ways, if all you have a little bit of routed plumbing, a septic, and some waterworks and wiring it would be easy to repurpose the land. It took me awhile to wrap my mind around that mindset. I think some, like KOAs, are businesses that are in it for the long haul.
