PAYNES PRAIRIE PRESERVE STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Micanopy. It is a almost small park with a reported 48 pads to park your recreational vehicle. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. If you are driving a large RV, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. No need for a generator since the park has electric. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no Wireless Internet. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Go ahead and bring along little Mr K9 since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip iced tea in style. I am confident that the kind folks at PAYNES PRAIRIE PRESERVE STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Micanopy.
