Long Description
PARADISE COVE RESORT AND MARINA is a RV Park in or near the town of Rockaway Beach. It is a small to medium park with a reported 68 slots to park your coach. This park has no pull thru sites. If you are driving a Big Daddy RV, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. You will be thrilled to know that 50 amp service is provided. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Adding to your RVing joy, make sure you bring your stinky slinky as there are sewer connections at the park. I do not know about you, but I cannot live without WiFi and this park has it so that is a good thing. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a Couch Potato – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. If getting in a pool is your thing then you are in luck at this park – it has pool access. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at PARADISE COVE RESORT AND MARINA would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Rockaway Beach.

We camped there for 3 nights in July 2014. The spaces by the water are tiny, tiny so we moved up to the hill. The spaces on top are labeled to be very confusing. I have never camped some place where the number in your site is really the space next to you. Supposedly an arrow points to the site next door. So you really don’t know the number of your site unless you look at your neighbors’ hookup. An RVer 3 spaces down from us used the wrong hookup because he didn’t know which was suppose to be his electric or sewer hookup. There was a grassy area that friends setup a tent on next to us because it wasn’t labeled a site. Unfortunately, the resort tried to charge us. I told the lady at the checkin booth that we were moving after the first night because we had friends with a tent and didn’t want to pay $42 for a tent site plus our sight. The management never came around until the second evening our friends were there with their tent. They were insistent we pay for the sloped spot because it was a site. We refused so, at 8pm our friends were forced to leave. That morning Carl came to talk to us. We were told Carl is the manager. He was scary. He screamed at us (very unprofessional). I walked away because he looked so angry that he could hit us. We calmly walked away and packed up. He said never come back and we assured him we won’t. Reasonable management and signage that is clear would make this a nicer place. We enjoyed the pool and spa.
