PALMETTO ISLAND STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Abbeville. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a claimed 102 pads to park your home away from home. This park has no pull thru sites. Your very long RV rig should have no trouble in the longer slots this park has. Electric hookups are provided. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. For the true RV experience – water hookups are provided – much better than camping in a tent! Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Wags since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at PALMETTO ISLAND STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Abbeville.
