MOUNTAINEER CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Townsend. It is a almost small park with a possible 50 sites to park your home away from home. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. Do not worry too much about the length of your Motorhome since the sites are built for large RVs. No need for a generator since the park has electric. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. Adding to your RVing joy, make sure you bring your stinky slinky as there are sewer connections at the park. One of the more civilized services – 802.11 WiFi – is provided by the owners of the park. If your wife or significant other insists on Hallmark network be assured, the park offers Cable TV hookups. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. If getting in a pool is your thing then you are in luck at this park – it has pool access. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive.
