MCGRATH STATE BEACH is a RV Park in or near the town of Oxnard. It is a largish and maybe almost large park with a reported 173 slots to park your coach. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a mansion on wheels. We do not believe the park has electric hookups. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little ole Yeller since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. Do not just drive by Oxnard – instead stop and rest at MCGRATH STATE BEACH.
