LASSEN NATIONAL FOREST – GURNSEY CREEK is a RV Park in or near the town of Chester. It is a somewhat small park with a reported 32 spots to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a large Class A motorhome. We do not believe the park has electric hookups. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. Regardless of other connections, water, surprisingly enough, is not a provided service. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. I am confident that the kind folks at LASSEN NATIONAL FOREST – GURNSEY CREEK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Chester.
