LAKE WATEREE STATE RECREATION AREA is a RV Park in or near the town of Winnsboro. It is a mostly medium park with a possible 72 rv sites to park your recreational vehicle. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. Do not worry too much about the length of your Big Rig since the sites are built for large RVs. Electric hookups are provided. The largest electric service is probably 30 amp. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of Wireless Internet. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Animals are welcome here. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. This park has some waterfront so you might get to enjoy the added benefit of the peace of water. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Do not just drive by Winnsboro – instead stop and rest at LAKE WATEREE STATE RECREATION AREA.
