LAKE POINSETT STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Harrisburg. It is a almost small park with a reported 50 sites to park your RV. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. Your large RV should have no trouble in the longer slots this park has. Electric hookups are provided. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. If you ever get near Harrisburg make sure you stop on by the LAKE POINSETT STATE PARK.
