LAKE NORMAN STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Troutman. It is a somewhat small park with a possible 33 sites to park your coach. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a very large camper. Make sure your generator is fueled up for this park. Electric looks to not be provided. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of WiFi. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Addict – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Paws since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Do not be a stranger, when you are by Troutman, give the peeps at LAKE NORMAN STATE PARK a call.
