LAKE CARLOS STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Alexandria. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a listed 123 slots to park your RV. This park does not seem to have pull thru sites. If you are driving a 45 footer, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. At a minimum, make sure you have some drinking water as water hookups are not provided. Probably due to the nature of the park and its location, sewer connections are not available. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Do not be a stranger, when you are by Alexandria, give the peeps at LAKE CARLOS STATE PARK a call.
