ILLINOIS STATE FAIR CAMPGROUND is a RV Park in or near the town of Springfield. It is a largish and maybe almost large park with a claimed 300 rv sites to park your RV. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. If you are driving a Big Rig, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. No need for a generator since the park has electric. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Adding to your RVing joy, make sure you bring your stinky slinky as there are sewer connections at the park. One of the more civilized services – 802.11 Wireless Internet – is provided by the owners of the park. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little ole Yeller since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. Maybe if you are planning on visiting Springfield, you might find a great place to stay at ILLINOIS STATE FAIR CAMPGROUND.
