HOUSTON RECREATION AREA is a RV Park in or near the town of Houston. It is a medium park with a possible 88 rv sites to park your camper. This park must not have any pull thru sites that we are aware. We are not sure that your very large camper can fit comfortably so please call ahead. Make sure your generator is fueled up for this park. Electric looks to not be provided. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little ole Furr Ball since this park is Animal Friendly. Not sure this is a good thing for a high class RV experience, but tent camping is allowed. A neat thing about this park is that it does have some waterfront attached to it. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip iced tea in style. Do not just drive by Houston – instead stop and rest at HOUSTON RECREATION AREA.
