Welcome to the Hot Springs KOA Campground! We are located at the gateway to the beautiful Black Hills. We are your base camp headquarters for a perfect Black Hills visit. Camp under shady Ponderosa pines in a mountain setting. Our campground is located on SD Highway 79, approximately 50 miles south of Rapid City, SD and 50 miles north of Chadron, NE.
Stay with us while you explore Wind Cave National Park, Custer State Park, the Mammoth Site, Windcross Conservancy, Wild Horse Sanctuary, Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument. Plus taken in all the other attractions around the Black Hills.
Our campground offers pull-thru RV sites, tent sites, deluxe cabins w/bathrooms and sleeping cabins. We have clean bathrooms, 24-hour laundry, camp store/gift shop and our large heated swimming pool during the summer. There is free WiFi and Cable TV. During the summer we serve a full menu breakfast every morning ($) and we fill propane tanks ($). In addition to the swimming pool we offer mini-golf, playground, basketball, volleyball, tetherball and a recreation room.
The Hot Springs KOA is tucked away in the southern Black Hills where you will be able to relax with a quiet night’s sleep.

This park has pull thru sites for your convenience. Do not worry too much about the length of your mansion on wheels since the sites are built for large RVs. You will be able to connect your RV to electric. You will be thrilled to know that 50 amp service is provided. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. Adding to your RVing joy, make sure you bring your stinky slinky as there are sewer connections at the park. I do not know about you, but I cannot live without WiFi and this park has it so that is a good thing. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Paws since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. If getting in a pool is your thing then you are in luck at this park – it has pool access. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip iced tea in style.
