GRAND MESA NATIONAL FOREST/COTTONWOOD LAKE CAMPGROUND) is a RV Park in or near the town of Collbran. It is a somewhat small park with a listed 36 pads to park your home away from home. This park has pull thru sites for your convenience. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a mansion on wheels. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. If you are lucky, you might be able to use your cellular for internet, but otherwise there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. We have no idea of the over the air TV, but we do know that no Cable TV is provided. Go ahead and bring along little Paws since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here.
