FORT YARGO STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Winder. It is a somewhat small park with a claimed 40 rv sites to park your recreational vehicle. This park has pull thru pads if you are uncomfortable with backing your rig. Your large Class A motorhome should have no trouble in the longer slots this park has. Electric hookups are provided. Power is no problem – the park has 50 amp service. No need to fill the freshwater since there are water hookups. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Some shade trees do exist, which also make the park more scenic and attractive. I am confident that the kind folks at FORT YARGO STATE PARK would want you to give them a try if you are passing by Winder.
