FORT PARKER STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Mexia. It is a fairly small park with a listed 25 sites to park your coach. This park has pull thru slots to make setting up a snap. If you are driving a Motorhome, then you are in luck since there are some extra long pads. No need for a generator since the park has electric. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Another of the basics – water hookups – is provided. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 Wireless Internet. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Animals are welcome here. Some parts of this RV Park are more rustic than others with tent camping being accepted. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. If the days get hot, you can enjoy the shade trees that exist here. If you ever get near Mexia make sure you stop on by the FORT PARKER STATE PARK.
