EMMA WOOD STATE BEACH is a RV Park in or near the town of Ventura. It is a slightly larger than medium park with a reported 91 slots to park your recreational vehicle. This park has no pull thru sites. Do not worry too much about the length of your 45 footer since the sites are built for large RVs. Bring your generator as this park does not have electric hookups. There is NO 50 amp service at the park. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will want to ensure an empty gray and black tank as sewer connections are not provided here. Be prepared to actually put the computer down and enjoy your coffee as there is no 802.11 WiFi. Really this shouldn’t be an issue for campers, honestly, but there is not a Cable TV hookup. Go ahead and bring along little Barky since this park is Animal Friendly. If you have a tent, you will need to keep it stowed at this RV park as tents are not allowed. We tend to enjoy parks that have some connection to a waterfront, like a river or lake – and this park has that. Do not just drive by Ventura – instead stop and rest at EMMA WOOD STATE BEACH.
