DONNER MEMORIAL STATE PARK is a RV Park in or near the town of Truckee. It is a largish park with a claimed 154 rv sites to park your coach. This park has no pull thru sites. The owners of the park were careful not to claim that the park can handle a large Class A motorhome. Make sure your generator is fueled up for this park. Electric looks to not be provided. Do not expect to run both air conditioners as 30 amp seems to be the largest service. Make sure you have water in the fresh tank as water hookups are not provided. You will not be able to stay indefinitely as there are no sewer connections. The park has a more authentic camping experience than some RV parks due to the lack of 802.11 Wireless Internet. You had better hope you have satellite if you are a TV Watcher – no cable tv at this park. Go ahead and bring along little Sparky since this park is Animal Friendly. If you like to REALLY get outside, you would be thrilled to know that you can camp in a tent here. Shade trees are at this RV park so you will be able to sip iced tea in style. If you ever get near Truckee make sure you stop on by the DONNER MEMORIAL STATE PARK.
